Dr Jason Musyoka (The Frontline Group) facilitating a session on migration and displacement data harmonisation guidelines during the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD)’s 5th regional workshop, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The workshop brought together all the seven IGAD member states, IGAD Secretariat and multi-lateral partners on the way forward on the mainstreaming of migration and displacement data, along with the harmonisation of such data in the region.

Dr Jason Musyoka (The Frontline Group) holding talks with Kenya’s State Department for Diaspora Affairs in Nairobi, on the role and opportunities for Kenyan diaspora in South Africa, on how this critical constituency can play a meaningful role in the country’s development, and the need for government to provide economic as well as trade incentives aimed at improving investment footprint by the Kenyan diaspora in South Africa.

Dr Jason Musyoka (The Frontline Group) facilitating a workshop on progress made in implementing the 2005 SADC Facilitation of Movement Protocol in Johannesburg, South Africa. The workshop brought together all the sixteen SADC member states, SADC Secretariat and multi-lateral partners to assess their ongoing implementation of the protocol and the challenges they face.

Dr Jason Musyoka (The Frontline Group) facilitating a strategic session for the Fetakgomo Tubatse Mining Forum in Burgersfort, South Africa. The session aimed to explore Local Economic Development opportunities for the communities living within the Fetakgomo Tubatse local municipality. It also sought to engage long term plans for economic diversification first in the mining sector and second, in the municipality at large. The workshop brought together mining companies and Fetakgomo Tubatse local municipality.

Dr Jason Musyoka (The Frontline Group) holding round table discussions with Kenya’s Hon. President William Ruto, on diaspora investment opportunities and challenges in Nairobi, Kenya. The round table discussion formed part of the annual Diaspora Investment Conference which brings together Kenyan diaspora from all-over the world in Nairobi, as they engage with government and other stakeholders on their innovations.

Dr Jason Musyoka (The Frontline Group) facilitating a strategic planning workshop on the evaluation of the implementation of the SADC Corrections/Prisons/Penitentiary Services. The workshop brought together all the sixteen SADC member states and SADC Secretariat on the progress -challenges and opportunities towards implementing the Nelson Mandela Rules (on Human Rights).
